About the Herbs and Minerals:

Having a calming effect on horses with chronic nervousness, it also tends to stimulate the nervous system when fed to debilitated or lethargic horses. Whole oats are also a good source of pro-biotics which selectively stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut. Whole oats provide fuel for energetic lives. Beta-glucans in the whole oat flour help to sooth and heal irritated or damaged body tissue. Helping to regulate body systems by controlling cholesterol and modulating insulin production, oats also affect mood and brain function to enhance learning and behavior.

It has been used as a blood purifier and flushes toxins out of the body via the liver and kidneys. Dandelion is rich in calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus and sodium. It is ideal for treating poor digestion by stimulating the circulation of blood to the entire body. Anti-inflammatory properties help alleviate inflammation and muscle spasms. It has also been used to treat infections, swelling, water retention, pneumonia and viruses.

In addition, sage has an anti-spasmodic action which reduces tension in smooth muscle.

Cinnamon: Promotes a healthy shiny coat, insulin balance and parathyroid health. Cinnamon can help with mental clarity and improved blood circulation. An Anti-inflammatory, it is also an anti-microbial which has the ability to help stop the growth of bacteria as well as fungi. Can help control blood sugars and can help prevent insulin resistance.
